This is faster because I don’t need to select anything and can apply preset brushes quickly. PIXELMATOR BRUSH PROPixelmator’s powerful new clouds filter allows the artist to easily generate realistic clouds that can be used in either photos, special effects, or for creating natural textures. Use quick retouching brushes: Pixelmator Pro has retouching brushes to soften, smudge, lighten and darken parts of a photo by rubbing a brush over the area. This layer belongs on top of the paper texture and the other layers. Then, with the Brush Tool (B) and using white for the color, start painting the mask with the watercolor brushes. Paint the layer mask with black so that the photo will be hidden. Users can also create their own document presets. Select the image layer and go to Layer > Add Layer Mask. New document presets in Pixelmator can be used to quickly choose image dimensions and resolution for display, web, photo, or print projects. In addition to the ability to load and save brush presets, the application also allows users to import Adobe Photoshop brushes. New advanced brush settings in Pixelmator include scatter, flow, follow direction, size jitter, stroke jitter, angle jitter, opacity jitter, and color jitter. Pixelmator’s new painting engine delivers smoothness, performance improvements, and new brush settings for painting tools in Pixelmator. It doesn't seem like a big deal initially, but when you're constantly testing and tweaking paintbrushes, having to tap an Undo button in the upper-left corner grows old very quickly. This has become standard in most drawing applications and is even integrated into Pixelmator Photo, but has oddly been omitted from Pixelmator 2.6.
